Responsible for the ICT Operations Strategy and Governance throughout the group
• Understanding business strategy and vision to produce ICT Operations strategy in Line with the overall Group IT Strategy
• Assisting the Director of Group IT to plan and produce a Group IT Strategy in-line with the Business Strategy and Requirements

Responsible for the health and upkeep of any Operational services, solutions or systems that are shared amongst all/some of the Business Units (sub-companies), which include in but not limited to:
• Active Directory,
• Office 365,
• Exchange,
• Consolidation Group Projects (infrastructure – multiple companies),
• Head Office Networking,
• Data Centre/Server Room utilisation,
Focal Point of Operational IT for group, including servicing senior management. Responsible for services to group, Oversee Management Service

Agreement involving tasks such as:
• Improvement of service delivery
• Improvement of customer satisfaction with the service
• Proactive service (having a plan for incident)
• Liaising with Peers
• Vendor/Supplier Management
• Maintain healthy relationship with key stakeholders
• Identify and oversee program/problem resolution
• Manage IT procurement and stock
• Produce project briefs in-line with Financial Budget timelines
Compliance to Information Security Policies/IT Principles from a technology perspective.
• Aligning IT Procedures with Information Security Policies and Industry Best Practices
• Ensuring that change is seamless to the end user
• Ensuring clients are satisfied with service and change
• Providing feedback and adjust procedures if required
• Offering guidance from a technology perspective
Efficiently utilising resources at hand (People, finances, assets) to:
• Reduce cost of “running” the business
• Better contract/deals and relations with vendors of assets and/or services
Central Infrastructure Management including in:
• Management of central services via vendor/supplier including Change Management
• Management of shared services between Group sub-companies
Management of IT Budget – ICT Operations and Infrastructure
• Estimating yearly IT Budgets and expenses including operational costs and capital expenditure costs such as projects and hardware.
• Monitoring and managing expenses in line with the approved budgets
• Aligning budgets expenses with Finance according to the financial timelines
Responsible for Technology Lifecycles i.e.:
• Responsible for adhering with financial policies for technology
• To plan for lifecycle management in-line with budgeting timelines

Responsible for the decommission of outdated systems & solutions
Managing ICT Operations team and Outsourcing to deliver IT services i.e.:
• Actively provide directions
• Lead through influence
• Provide technical expertise
• Elevate and champion talent
• Measuring efficiency and service delivery through KPIs
• Measuring performance of internal IT staff through Performance reviews
• Measuring performance of Outsourcing through SLAs, reporting and client satisfaction.
• Recruitment process: understanding requirements, call for application and interview process.


Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• In possession of relevant industry standards such as: ITIL, Prince 2, Prince 2 Agile, MSCE, MCSD, CCNA, CCNP, CISA, CISM, etc

Knowledge & Experience Required
• 5 years’ experience in running technology operations
• A proven track record working as IT Manager or Higher role (min 3years’ experience)
• Hands-on experience working in a technical proficiency such as Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or Technical Support Engineer (min 3years’ experience)
• Proven expertise in IT processes, IT Policies, reporting and analytics.
• Good knowledge of Cloud Solutions, such as Azure or Google Cloud or AWS.
